What’s New in December 2016

December 2016 — Plans for your new Double Top Village and Ruby Valley Wellness Center continue to advance. Since the October 15th presentation of conceptual plans to property owners, architect Mark Diedrich of Kuo Diedrich and land planners Steve Wyda and Ryan Blau of Vision Design have continued to refine their designs, and have created an animated, 3-D presentation to test functionality and spatial relationships of buildings.

Atlanta-based Harrison Design Associates has been selected to design the 20+ cottages that will surround the Double Top Village Center. Firm founder Bill Harrison joined Mark, Steve and Ryan on site to begin siting the homes and coordinating architectural language of the residences with club buildings. Harrison has been familiar with Balsam Mountain Preserve for many years and expressed his excitement to have been selected to participate in the creation of this new chapter in the community’s history. An on-site design charrette took place in early December with the Balsam Mountain development team. Existing property owners will be the first to see the cottages before they are offered to the public; if you would like to put your name on the list to be contacted, please let Joe Dellinger know at [email protected]

Arnold Palmer Design is continuing its refinement of the new driving range, which will incorporate a state- of-the-art short course for off-hours recreational play.

Finally, a cost-estimator who specializes in club amenities has been engaged and has begun cost estimation on the development. A report is expected to be in hand by year’s end.
