Doubletop Village features a Members’ Grille, Club Tavern, Great Lawn, General Store and Golf House, highlighted by trellised walkways, fire pits, Great Lawns for outdoor activities and concerts, and 23 single family cottages … all with spectacular, long views of mountains and valleys.

Cottages

The cottages within Doubletop Village will consist of 2, 3 and 4-bedroom single family homes, and all are just steps away from all Village amenities. Designed by the renowned Atlanta-based Harrison Design architects, these smartly-designed and gracious homes are “turnkey offerings” that include optional, fully equipped interior design packages. With exteriors featuring stacked stone and wood, each cottage features dramatic long-range valley and mountain views which are arguably some of the best in all of Balsam. These are the perfect option for those who aspire to start living their mountain dream lifestyle.

Members’ Grille

Overlooking the driving range and extraordinary views beyond is the Members’ Grille. With our commitment to natural and organic options, you’ll be inspired by our chef’s creativity. Whether its gathering with your Balsam friends, hometown buddies or extended family, the perfect evening is gathering around our demonstration kitchen, where the chef will amaze and surprise while preparing your favorites.

If a more intimate affair is called for, the Members’ Grille has the perfect choice with our private dining room. And for those with refined tastes for wine (or for those who would like to learn), our acclaimed wine room is the perfect complement. All of this and more awaits at the Members’ Grille, with a dramatic cantilevered terrace overlooking the golf course for outdoor dining.

 

Club Tavern

Featuring inviting indoor/outdoor seating, the Club Tavern is the picture-perfect casual spot to meet. Located in the Village just across the terrace from the Members’ Grille, The Club Tavern features outside seating along the bar with roll-up windows for warm days and cool summer evenings.

The Tavern is where members can come to enjoy their favorite beverages, including an ever-evolving choice of regional craft beer on draft, as well as chef-inspired inventive grill fare. It’s the perfect gathering spot after a day on the links, trail ride or hike.

 

General Store and Golf House

The General Store and Golf House will serve as the natural gathering point. Members can enjoy morning coffee with friends, collect their mail or head to the first tee. While a wide array of shopping options are just minutes away in Sylva or Waynesville, we’ll have ample provisions available so you’ll virtually never need to leave the mountain if you choose not to. All the basics to cook at home, as well as pre-made ready-to-go meals will be at your fingertips. And the pro shop will highlight a full selection of golf, fitness, and hiking apparel.

Community Garden & Activity Lawns

There are several Activity Lawns spread across the Village. All feature spectacular mountain backdrops for special events such as reunions, receptions, club events and so much more. Imagine gathering on one of the lawns, overlooking the tallest peaks in the region as the sun sets over Balsam… awe inspiring. And of course, there will be plenty of areas for lawn sports such as bocce, croquet, and maybe even a Frisbee or football toss.

The Community Garden will be prominently featured, with a dazzling array of seasonal organics. At Balsam Mountain, we’re committed to locally-sourced, farm-to-table cuisine, and there’s no better signal of this than our Community Garden.
