Introducing Balsam Mountain Portfolio of Homes
We are excited to introduce you to our new Balsam Mountain Portfolio of
Homes. Born out of a shared vision of
the human connection with the natural environment, this new collection of
homes has been created in partnership with Platt Architecture, designer of
HGTV's 2006 Dream Home. In designing a residence, it is Al Platt's mission
that the home should appear natural to the environment, blending seamlessly
with its surroundings.
Situated on various high ridges overlooking virgin forests and spectacular
mountain vistas, 6 homesites
have been hand selected for our new Portfolio of Homes. In fact, each of
these special residences has been custom designed for a specific homestead
to ensure the best utilization of available terrain and maximized views.
Each home will emphasize the connection of the house and the people who live
there to its natural setting.
Al Platt's concept of New Mountain Architecture melds harmoniously with
Chaffin/Light Associates conservation-based development principles.
Designing for Balsam Mountain Preserve's ultra-low density community within
a park has afforded him a particular pleasure. "This is a unique opportunity
for me," states Platt, "in the fact that my design philosophy matches the
developer's commitment to creating an authentic and organic community in a
sustainable natural environment."
