The Residence Club Cabins
Taking cues from the past as inspiration for the present, the ten Boarding House cabins are designed to look and feel like nothing else in the North Carolina mountains.
Built of antique wood and dry stacked stone, the cabins display superior craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail. Sustainable building materials were carefully selected with an eye towards the environment and energy efficiency. For example, each cabin is heated and cooled using state-of-the-art geothermal technology. Wood walls and ceilings finished with authentic milk paint are complemented by antique wood floors, reclaimed from the local area. And pine shake roofs overhead are joined by reclaimed tin covering porches made from recycled materials.
Roomy yet intimate, each of these inviting retreats is fully appointed with a morning kitchen, a luxurious bath, and inviting artwork and furnishings inspired by the undisturbed mountain setting. Stone fireplaces grace both the interior living space and the large outdoor porch, and at 3,700 feet in elevation the fireplaces get plenty of use, even in the summertime!!
